I play my priest two ways currently 1. I max out my knowledge for Holy damage and add 8 points to intelligence for a total of 130 energy. With knowledge maxed I hit for average 175 dmg which I can cast 4 times (20 energy) and still heal myself for for a max of 600 HP for 50 energy. 2. I max out my strength and with my Duskiron Mace and 10% Toran bonus I hit for 99-126 dmg and can still heal myself twice as I start with 110 base energy The holy smite 175 is for non-undead for the undead with Knowledge maxed I hit for about 350 against the Undead Militia and punish the practice skeleton for about 600  |

Restarting isn't a good idea IMO, if you don't like Mage because of personal reasons it's one thing, but restarting because of current functionality isn't a good reason to start over.
What happens if after you change to a priest and mages get new spells and they're "better" according to talking heads in the tavern? Do you start over again as a mage? What if Rogue gets something new after that? Do you switch to Rogue? Unless you have a fascination with staying as a low level forever, restarting isn't a good thing to do. Pick a class you like and stick with it, every single class is going to get new stuff, priest, mage, rogue, merchant, warrior. If you like mages in other games, stick with it.

If you were still in single digit levels I'd say go for it. But level 20 takes a while to get to and as Hellfire said are you going to want to start over everytime you think another class looks better?
That said it's completely up to you and if you want you can send your inventory to me and I'll send it all back after you restart.

I'm sure they will, the merchant crown isn't ingame yet but +30 AC is hella nice once they put it in.

well, the 30ac is moot until they add harder hitting monsters, but other than that lets just say there is a reason there is ONLY two merchants gamewide over lvl 30 lol (the one that is Yoda is nils so it doesnt count) I say if you get bored with another class, going to merchant is like shooting yourself in the face.
