I was thinking to keep the divisions private you could lock the threads after the members have been chosen, and give out the password only to members of that division. Also there should be a board where only division leaders could meet so they could discuss things.
Can people post what they think of this pls.

I like the idea, but im not sure what keeping secrets from other guild members will bring, it could bring arguments or could end up great.

I also think we need a member only section. At the moment anyone can log on and see we are planning to do a little spying. Only thing I'd add is that we need some right of passage to allow access to member only threads. It's pointless if someone can just join and get all our info. Maybe there could be a probation period or such?
edit: on the original post I don't think we should have too much privacy within the guild, we need to foster trust but a private high command thread for strategic planning makes sense.

this is qworc but not logged in. i also think a members only thing would be good and a sort of high command like wormwood said. maybe to become a member we should have an initiation type of thing of you have to post on here a certain amount of times to gain more access to forum. any more thoughts extremely welcome.

yeah i agree a private section for members only would be nice, but i want to make sure if we open a members only section, we keep most of the fun conversations on the everyone threads.. one of the biggest things we have going for us is how active our forum is, and while the vast majority of people who communicate on the forum are members, we also have a decent amount of people visiting our forum which isn't necessarily bad. There really isn't much to hide right now. Also, i think if i make the divisions section private i'm going to make the whole section available for all guild members, rather than each division have separate passwords simply because the information gathered in say Pestilence should be available to the War division. The other option would be keeping divisions separate and making an officers only section. I think one problem is not all of the officer positions are being applied for right now, so we're not really having every division covered  i don't know.. we'll continue to discuss this for now, at least until we get more division variety signups |

I think all guild members having access across the divisions is a good thing, it makes everyone feel included. If there is a need for secrecy there is always pm's.
