its all good, i read the small pring ;p i drive tractor trailers as a part of my job, so after working 14 hours i can't drive anymore until 10 hours off (per day) and after 70 hours in a week i can't drive anymore until i get 24 hours off. Sad thing is, I love my job lol. Like everything else ya just get agitated sometimes. most i've worked is out west 2 years ago at 119 hrs a week, was only there 3 weeks tho.

a little background on the job tho. such as sunday at 5pm we drove out to the natural gas well they were drilling, hooked up most of what we could then waited for them to finish putting the pipe in the ground (12,500 ft of it) this took them from when we got there at 1030pm until 8am tuesday morning. So that entire time I just laid in the truck (there's a bed the size of a twin bed) playing video games, listening to the radio, and a whole lot of nothing (still on the clock getting paid) So i pretty much camped out in a truck for 2 days. Bad side is no cell signal, no running water, nothing. Then Tuesday morning when they were ready at 8am we finished hooking up did our job and was back at home at 1pm. So out of 44 straight hours we only really worked like 5 hours and drove 4.
in a perfect world we would leave the shop, do the job and be back in 10-12 hrs... never happens, since we moved here in may the shortest day has been 18 hours.

Getting paid to play games. I don't feel as bad about the hours you work now.

lol if i had cell signal where we went it wouldn't be so bad, or if i could get on the wifi on the wells... but the companies put a lock on them not to long ago lol. But I have the same mentality wormwood... still our turnover rate we only keep like 1 out of every 20 hires.

The time away from family would be hard. I can see why there is a high turnover.

yeah, driving conditions are the worst in the world where we go so that gets alot of people, time away from home really blows and i have the job where i'm home the most. Other guys make way more cash but are gone weeks at a time.
